There's feedback.
And there's an audit.
Most editors highlight a sentence and move on. We trace the problem back to its root, give you the rewrite steps, and help you apply it everywhere.

COMPARE TIERS
The team behind every audit.
Every audit is shaped by more than one perspective.
We draw from a methods team of current medical students, each with strong MCAT scores and their own acceptance track records, who help build and refine the frameworks, rubrics, and revision strategies used in every review.
Before your essays are reviewed, your materials are matched for your specific situation. Non-trads get evaluated by frameworks built for non-trad narratives, reapplicants get assessed differently than first-timers, etc.
Don't take our word
for it. Take theirs.
Why not the alternatives?
Different students need different levels of help. We're not saying free advice or traditional consulting can't work, just that MedBound is built to be the most complete option available.
Free advice or traditional consulting can work, but MedBound is your most complete option available.

Our Approach:
What makes MedBound different from other essay services?
Most services give you editorial feedback: comments on what is unclear, suggestions for stronger word choices, notes on flow. That's useful, but it's also what you can get from a writing center, a mentor who went to med school, or a friend with good instincts.
What we do is different in three specific ways.
First, the depth of the deliverable. You get a 25+ page written audit... not a marked-up Google Doc and a few paragraph-level comments. Every section of your essay is analyzed for narrative logic, credibility signaling, adcom readability, and prompt compliance. You receive a line-edited analysis of your draft draft, a specific revision roadmap, and a clear priority order for what to fix first. Other services tell you something is weak. We tell you exactly why it is weak and exactly what to do about it.
Second, the data behind the feedback. Our methodology was built from tracking outcomes across 1000+ students and identifying the specific patterns that separated accepted essays from rejected ones at the same GPA and MCAT level. When we flag something in your essay, it's because we have seen that exact pattern cost students interviews... not because it violates a general writing principle.
Third, the perspective we bring. Our reviewers went through this exact process and got into top medical schools. They aren't physicians evaluating your essay from the other side of a decade in medicine. They know what it feels like to write this essay under pressure, and they know what an adcom sees when they read it cold because they studied that obsessively on their way in. That combination of recent applicant experience and outcome-tracked methodology is not something you will find at a service staffed by doctors or general writing coaches.
If you want tracked changes and a few margin comments, there are cheaper ways to get that. If you want to know specifically what's holding your essay back and exactly how to fix it before you submit, that's what our writing audit is built for.
How do you help with mission fit and school-specific essays?
We use the schools you submit in your intake form and research concrete fit angles (programs, tracks, pathways, clinics, service initiatives, research centers, etc). Then we compare those to your profile and your writing to identify what matches your experiences and goals.
You’ll get explicit suggestions on what to emphasize and where it fits. This is designed to make your “why us” writing targeted.
Can I use my characters across any essay type?
Yes. Your character bank is a total volume of characters you can use across your entire application. You can use a portion for your Work & Activities, some for your Personal Statement, and the remainder for your Secondary prompts across multiple different schools. We track your remaining balance and provide a status update upon request with every PDF packet we deliver.
The Process:
How does the entire process work?
You purchase a package and complete the intake forms where you submit your drafts, prompts, and additional context. Since submissions work as a "character bank," you do not have to submit everything at once; you can submit in batches throughout the cycle. Once your intake is complete, you’re placed into review.
You’ll receive one consolidated PDF packet in your dedicated email thread that includes your completed audit.
If your tier includes resubmissions, you revise using the packet, then submit the updated draft through the intake form again within your support window (either your tier’s continuous Q&A window or your Flex Support balance). Questions and clarifications happen in the email thread during your access window.
How do resubmissions work?
If your tier includes resubmissions, you revise based on your packet, then submit your revised draft through the intake form within your allowed window and resubmission count. For Premium and Unlimited tiers, this window is tied to your Flex Support balance, allowing you to resubmit batches anytime during the cycle. Resubmissions are not sent through email because drafts get lost and this ensures the reviewer is looking at the right version.
Resubmissions do not count toward your character limit. To get the most out of a resubmission, include a note with what you changed and what you want re-checked (for example: opening, “why medicine,” or a specific secondary prompt).
How does rush delivery work?
Rush Delivery is an add-on that gets you your packet in 24 hours. You can purchase it at checkout with your tier, or you can decide later and add it when you’re ready to submit (from the post-purchase page). Rush applies per submission, not permanently.
When you want a specific submission rushed, you’ll select “Rush Delivery” on the intake form for that submission. Rush delivery means your packet is delivered within 24 hours once we receive a complete intake (draft + prompt + context). If something is missing, the 24-hour clock starts once it’s corrected.
Your Audit:
What does Q&A support mean?
Q&A support is your ability to ask questions and get clarification in your dedicated email thread after you receive your packet. This acts as targeted support so you can implement the audit correctly. Students use it to clarify why a section was flagged, check if a revised paragraph fixes the original issue, or understand how to apply notes across multiple essays consistently!
Your access depends on your tier: Essentials and Advantage use a continuous window (48 hours or 7 days) that begins after your packet is delivered. Premium and Unlimited use Flex Support, where your 10 or 30 days only count when you have an open question thread. Tutors will respond within 24 hours to questions.
How does "flex support" work?
We count a "Support Day" only when you send an email that requires a tutor response. If you go several weeks without needing an edit or asking a question while you focus on other tasks, your balance remains untouched. We include a clear update on your remaining Flex days with every audit we send back.
What are deep revision cycles?
Deep Revision Cycles are credibility-verified review passes. Each cycle includes a primary editor pass for structure and clarity, a secondary reviewer pass for narrative logic and prompt fit, and a tertiary senior reviewer pass focused on credibility, signal strength, and avoidable red flags. You receive one consolidated PDF packet with aligned edits.
